MCNY 1st Runner Up,Ms.Photogenic and Best in Talent

1) Why did you decide to join the MCNY pageant?
This might sound like a generic answer, but when I
was younger I've always admired the pageant girls
and dreamt of being glamorous on stage just like
them. I've modeled since I was 11 and I love it.
However, I wanted to try something new and
pageants seemed like the right step for me. My
family and friends were really supportive upon my
decision to join MCNY.

2) Do you still keep in contact with the contestants
you competed with?
Definitely. During the pageant, us 13 girls have
created a very strong sisterly bond. Although
distance is a factor, we still try to keep in contact
by phone or msn.

3)What was your most memerable experience
during the pageant?
The most memorable experience for me during the
pageant was when I turned 18. All the girls and
organizers planned a great birthday surprise for
me. On the day of my birthday, they convinced me
to try on the swimsuit. When I came out of the
changing room, the room was pitch black, and
they suddenly came out with a lit birthday cake
and sang "Happy Birthday" to me! It was a truly
unforgettable and heart-warming experience. =)

4) What was in your mind when you were
announced 1st runner up?
Thrilled! As excited as I was already being in the
top 5, I was even more excited when I was
announced 1st runner up. I was pretty much in
awe.

5)Who is your favorite MCNY winner?
My favorite MCNY yet would be Fala Chen. I was
fortunate enough to meet her and also prepare for
the pageant finals with her. I truly admire her for
her dedication and passion in everything she does.
But along another note, Nicole Wang, MCNY
winner of '05, is also on my favorite list. During the
pageant, she has always been almost like a "big
sister" to me. After 2 months of working together,
her devotedness in the pageant feeds off of all of
us girls.
