The reason I joined MCTP was because when I
was growing up I used to watch MHK all the time,
and I guess it had some affect on me. Also
because I think it's an amazing experience, there
isn't anything like it, the competition, the friendship
that comes with it, the glitz and the glam as well.
I wouldn't trade this experience and memories for
anything else. People might think you can't gain
anything out of a pageant but I think the
experience you get lets you gain confidence and
help you see things differently.
Because of the pressure and emotional difficulties I
had, It's helped me mature in a different way. But
in the end I'm glad that I had this experience.

 

2)Did you ever think about winning Ms.Friendship?

 

Well.. I think this award is very important because
this award is given from the girls. Miss Friendship
is important because of all the competition, but I
always thought friendship always comes first,
because without it, the pageant would be a very
long journey to go through.
This award was actually one of the awards that I
wanted, because this award says something about
my personality, so I was really happy that I won it.
So I guess I did think about winning it, because
before the show I had an idea that I was the top
candidate, because some of the girls told me that
they voted for me. I was really excited when the
girls came up and told me.

 

3)What were you thinking about when you were
announced Miss Friendship?

 

When they were announcing Miss Friendship I was
actually still kinda nervous because there still
might be a chance that i didn't have it in the bag,
and I didn't get it yet until they announced it. But I
was still really excited when they announced my
name. The funny thing was that I had to make
sure that i didn't step out until they finished my
name, I almost took a step before they finished, it
would've looked funny if i came out and they
announced someone else name. My last name
and Kylie's last name are the same, so i had to
make sure that they were calling mine first. But if
they called her name I would be just as happy
because I voted for her. To me, she's my Miss
Friendship! Without her support and her help, it
would have a journey to get through. Thanks Kylie!

 

4)You won Ms.Charming Commucations! Did alot
of friends support you?

 

Oh boy, this award was actually really shocking. I
had a lot of friends supporting me but i didn't
actually think I would be able to win this award.
But I would like to thank everyone that had voted
for me and supported me, without you guys I
wouldn't be able to win this award. I'm really
happy that I won this award because this was
voted by the people of Toronto. Miss Friendship
as well because both awards were voted by
people, so i guess i'm favoured by the people! =)

5)Do you still keep in touch with all 9 of the girls?

I actually do keep in touch with a lot of the girls.
I'll send them emails once in a while, it's really
hard to keep in touch with all of them because a
lot of them are busy and we don't share the
schedule anymore, but I am looking forward to
having a gathering for old times sake. But I do
keep constant contact with one of the girls. My
good friend Kylie, she's the best thing I gained out
of the pageant. heheh..

 

6)Who is your favorite Miss Chinese Toronto winner?

I don't have a favorite MCT winner because I think
it's unfair to pick one because they all won with
different qualities. Every winner didn't win because
they all possess the same qualities, they won
because they each had their own uniqueness.
Some were just wonderful on stage.
