1)Why did you decide to participate in the Miss Chinese Vancouver Pageant?
I think the past MHK and MCV successes
have a lot to do with my interest in participating. the first time I watched a pageant was MHK 94, and I loved it so much...I
still watch the recording once in a while! Linda Chung is one of the many people I look up to, so I guess you can say, I want
to follow in her footsteps! joining MCV also gives me the chance to meet and work alongside with 9 talented ladies. as well,
I love to perform..it gives me a big adrenaline rush!!
2)What was your reaction when you were notified a contestant?
To
be honest, I was already happy when I received the call for an interview! I wasn't expecting anything else after that. because
I did my math beforehand... "only 10 out of a ~200? omg thats like impossible!" so one can only imagine how I was like, when
I got the phone call to notify me as 1 of the 10... I was jumping up and down!
3) What was your reaction when you were announced Miss Classic
Elegance?
I was really surprised, however happy as a penguin…because I was not
expecting to receive
any awards, especially a special one like this, that
night. When the MCs were about to announce the award, in my
head I was
guessing who was going to get this award. Many girls came to mind, but I
was not one of them!
4)What was your reaction when you were announced Miss Popularity?
I was sooooooo happy to receive this award. This award means a lot to me,
because it
meant that everyone at home was voting me, and to know that,
really makes me feel loved! I watched the recording
afterwards…and I was in
3rd for the popularity votes in the beginning of the show, and then 2nd in
the middle…
and then 1st by the end of the night >> So thanks everyone, I
really do appreciate all your votes and support =]
5)Out of all 10 of the contestants, which one do you communicate with the
most?
Everyone was really nice to me during the pageant, and pampered me, like big
sisters do to
their younger sister. I think I communicated the most with
Carrie and Samantha the most, as they are my next door
buddies. They both
helped me a lot during this pageant..so I’m glad I was sandwiched between
the two throughout
this. I also communicate a lot with Teresa. I think it’s
because we share a common interest in having fun and
eating out… so
naturally, we still do that often!
6)You were selected Most Photogenic by our viewers, how do you feel?
Aww thanks for voting for me! Does that mean I got 2.5 awards in total?
Haha.
I’m
so happy, because it makes me feel special that I have received so much
support from viewers. Thanks, I love you
all so much.
7)I understand Linda Chung is your favorite Miss Chinese Vancouver winner,
why
is that?
I think that Linda is a great character to look up to. This industry has a
lot to do
with your image.. and I think she gives off a very elegant, yet
sophisticated image and on top of that I feel that she
is a great role model
for girls. A lot of people change to the “sexy” image, once they get into
the
business that Linda is in, however she has maintained a very healthy,
and ladylike image…which I admire =]
