1) Why did you decide to participate in the Miss Chinese Toronto pageant?
It was the same reason as Susana [Su]. The time wass perfect for me and I am almost
finished
my school, and I felt that wass a chance that I could try different
things in my life.
2) What were you doing when FTV called and notified you as one of the 12
contestants?
I remembered that I went to the interview around 7 to 9 PM on Friday. And after that
they told me they would contact me during the
weekend and if they didn't call me by next Monday that meant that I
didn’t get it.
But you know what? At about 11pm, they called me! I wasn't prepared to
receive their call in such
a short time, (and it was such a late time). I just
went back home and started to check my e-mail.
3)What was going through your head when you were announced Miss Fitness?
To be honest, I couldn't believe it. It was such a surprise. I never thought
about getting this award, because in my view, Miss Fitness would go to Peggy [Li],
Daisy [Chan], or Sherry Lou,
Not me.
4)Which segment did you like most in MCT?
I liked every part of the pageant, especially the ChenHao’s song and the
opening
dance, because all the girls put a lot of time practicing this together.
Whenever the song starts I have the memory appearing
again and again.
5) What was going through your head when you were announced 1 of the top 5
contestants?
I felt very happy, and also I felt that the most challenge part was coming.
6) What was going through your head when you were announced
the winner of
MCT06?
After the MC announced the first runner up, I had a feeling that I
could be the
winner. but at that time, because of smiling for
almost 2 hours, my face convulsed, and I just couldn't stop! I was
so
annoyed and I said to my self: could you please stop convulsing? This is a
great moment in your life but why
you do seem so nervous, so just stop it!
7) You recently flew to HK for Miss Chinese International 2007, how did you
find
the experience overall?
I had a lot of fun and enjoyed the whole process.
8) Who were you closest with during the pageant?
I made a lot of friends there. It’s hard to say who is my closest friend. But I hung
out with #2, 8,10,11,14,15.
9) What else was going through your head when you were announced 1 of 10
final
contestants in MCI?
I was the last one announced in top 10, it made me more and more nervous
as the MC called
more girls. I feel very lucky that I got the chance to go
to the next segment.
10) You made it into the top 5 as well in MCI! How did you feel?
I didn't have much time to think about it, because I was the first one to
perform the
talent I had to get changed really fast.
11) You have made it so far and was placed 2nd runner up in MCI07! Any
thoughts?
I think all the girls are beautiful and intelligent. We all put a lot
effort on the contest
and Half of them didn't get a chance to talk to the MC, and
most of the girls didn't have a chance to perform
their talent.
11) Who is your all time favorite Miss Chinese International winner?
My all time favorite winner is Shirley Zhou.
