1) Why did you decide to participate in the Miss Singapore Chinatown pageant?
I happen to chance upon the application form for the pageant in my local newspaper
and thought of going for the audition to see how far I'll go. I also wanted to do something different, learn
something new and challenge myself.
2) What was going through your head when you were announced the winner of MSC06?
It was surreal, I couldn't believe that I really won it. Too many things were going through
my head when my name was announced. I wanted to rush down the stage to hug my family and share my joy with them. This
was just the beginning of a new journey.
3) You won over 50 contestants in MSC! How do you feel about that?
I think it was a tough fight. Some of the girls are experienced, have great poise, confident, smart,
friendly and so much more. Everyone has their own strengths and put in alot of hardwork for the whole
event. In my opinion, everyone is already a winner.
4) You recently flew to HK for MCI07, how was the experience?
Definitely a memorable and unforgettable experience. It's something I would never trade for
the world. There were ups and downs, sweat and blood put into it. Through this experience, I learnt more about myself,
how far i can push my limits, and what I am capable of. Not to mention all the great friends I have made with such beautiful
girls all round the world.
5) Who were you closest with during the MCI07 pageant?
I liked hanging out with different girls all the time so I can try to get to know everyone better.
Miss Sydney and Miss Malaysia were my room mates, so we got to talk more. Other times, I spent time with Miss San
Francisco, Miss Rotterdam, Miss Tahiti, Miss NY, Miss Calgary, Miss Vancouver, Miss BK, Miss Auckland, Miss Melbourne and
Miss Johannesburg. (I think I almost listed everyone!)
6) What was your most memorable pageant during the MCI07 pageant?
The time when we all were dressed as ancient chinese beauties for filming of the introduction
clip for the finals. It was really fun!
7) Who would you say would be your favorite MCI winner?
Michelle Reis, I think she is very beautiful and is now a spokesperson for L'Oreal!
